Is the Bourbon Trail worth it?

The Kentucky Bourbon Trail is a must-visit if you enjoy drinking or are a bourbon snob. They give a thorough description of the drink and Louisville‘s history with it. I thought I’d give it a try because this is the onlybourbon tour in Louisville proper. The tour starts at the Louisville Public Library, where you’ll get a tour of the library’s bourbon collection.

You’ll also get to taste a few samples of bourbon, which is pretty cool. After the tour, there’s a short walk to the bourbon tasting room. It’s pretty small, but it does have a nice selection of bourbons to choose from. If you want to sample more than one, you can do that too.

There are also a couple of bars in the area that will let you sample bourbon while you wait for your tour to start. I didn’t try any of these, so I can’t vouch for them. But if you do try them, let me know what you think! I’ll be sure to update this post if I find out about any other places to try bourbon.

Why is Buffalo Trace not on the Bourbon Trail?

Buffalo Trace isn’t included on the Bourbon Trail because they aren’t on the board of distillers, but they are different from the other distilleries in that they don’t have a single barrel aging program. Instead, Buffalo Trace distills all of their bourbon in small batches and then ages it in oak casks for a minimum of two years before bottling it.

In addition to being one of the most expensive bourbons in the world, it’s also the only bourbon to be aged in bourbon barrels. This means that you can get a bottle of this bourbon for less than $100, which is quite a bit cheaper than the average price of a barrel of bourbon. If you’re looking for the best bang for your buck when it comes to bourbon, this is the one to go with.
