The Tent of Meeting, also known as the tabernacle, is according to the Hebrew Bible a dwelling place. It was located in the Valley of Hinnom, near the Dead Sea. The name “tent” is derived from the root אֲנָם, “to lie down.” The Hebrew word for “place” (סֻפוּר) is the same as that used to describe the tent of meeting.

What did a Tabernacle look like?
Tapestry curtains decorated with cherubim were used in the tabernacle. The interior was divided into two rooms, the holy place and the most holy place. The Holy Place was where the tabernacles were placed. It was a large room with a high ceiling, and it was surrounded by a wall. In the middle of the room, there was an altar.
There were also images of angels and saints, as well as the names of all the people who had come to worship the God of Israel. At the end of each day, the priests and Levites would go to the holy places to offer sacrifices to God and to bless the land. They would then return to their homes to prepare for the next day’s sacrifices. This was called the “day of atonement.”
The Holy of Holies was also a place where sacrifices were offered, but this was done in a different way. Instead of offering sacrifices, they would take the blood of animals and sprinkle it on the ground and then burn it in the fire. When they did this, it symbolized that they were cleansing themselves of their sins and that God had forgiven them for all their transgressions.
What did Ark of Covenant look like?
Biblical accounts describe the Ark as large, about the size of a 19th-century seaman’s chest, made of gold-plated wood, and topped with two large, golden angels. The poles were inserted through the rings on its sides. Several of the Old Testament’s most famous stories, including the story of Noah’s ark and the flood, have been linked to The Ark.
The Ark is also mentioned in the Book of Genesis, where it is said to have been built by Abraham, the father of Isaac and Jacob. According to the Bible, Abraham and his wife Sarah were the first people to visit the land of Canaan, which was then known as Mesopotamia.
They built an Ark for their son Isaac, who was to be the ancestor of all the people who would live on the earth. Abraham’s Ark was later destroyed by the Babylonians in 607 B.C.E., and it was not rebuilt until the time of Jesus Christ.

How big was the tabernacle in the wilderness?
The tent was 45 feet long, 15 feet wide and 15 feet tall. The frame was made out of wood and gold. It had no solid roof or front wall, but it was covered with four layers of cloth, one on top of the other. This altar was built in the shape of a cross, with the four corners facing east, west, north and south. In the middle was a tablecloth of gold and silver, covered with a cloth of fine linen. He was clothed in a robe of purple and scarlet and had a golden crown of twelve stars upon his head. His face was like the sun and his hair was as white as snow. Around his neck were two crowns of thrones, each of which held a star.
What is the meaning of the Temple veil being torn?
The veil was also a picture of death whereby we enter the Presence of God. The veil was torn from top to bottom after Jesus died. The curtain would have torn from the bottom to the top if the earthquake had ripped it. The veil is a symbol of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In the Bible, there is no mention of a veil being torn at the time of Christ’s death.
However, in the book of Revelation, we are told that there will be a time when “the veil shall be torn in two” (Revelation 20:12). This is the same time that Jesus will return to earth to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords. 1-2, Jesus is said to be “standing on the right hand of power” and to “be clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and with the appearance of human flesh.”
In other words, he will appear as a resurrected human being. It is important to note that the word “robe” in this verse is used in a figurative sense, meaning that it is not a literal robe, but rather a garment that has been soaked with blood.
Why can’t you look at the Ark of the Covenant?
A plot element involving the Ark of the Covenant was cut from the film and is only hinted at during the finale when the Ark is opened. The Ark was not mentioned in the final cut of the film, but there were two rules about it. You live if you look at the Ark when it is opened. In the original script for the movie, the first rule was that you couldn’t touch it.
