If the rain gets heavier it will affect the flying and you will have to stop the hunting until it stops. You will be back in the field before you know it if the rain lasts more than a couple hours. A rainy day isn’t the end of hunting.
If you do not have the time to wait for the weather to clear up, you can always use your binoculars or a spotting scope to see what is going on. If you are lucky enough to have a good spotter, be sure to tell him or her where you want to go and when you expect to return.
The best way to do this is to make a list of all the places you would like to visit and tell them where to find you. You can also use a map to help you find your way back to the spot you started from. Remember, the best place to look for birds is at the top of a tree or in a bush.
It is easier to spot a bird when it is on the ground, so make sure you look up and down the trees and bushes to get a better idea of where the birds are.

Do Doves Like Cold Weather?
It’s perfectly fine to release doves during the winter. Our doves and other birds have a lot of ways to stay warm in the cold. The doves adjust to the temperature of the loft, which is about 40 degrees below zero, because it is not insulated.
