The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is reminding hunters of the opening of the archery and crossbow deer seasons this fall. Can You Still Bow Hunt In Wisconsin?
One bow buck deer harvest authorization valid in any unit statewide and valid for use with either archery or crossbow equipment depends on the license purchased. They may be given one or more Farmland antlerless deer harvest authorizations based on the number of deer they harvest. A hunter must have a valid hunting license in order to harvest a deer. A hunter may not harvest more than one deer at a time.
Hunters may harvest up to three deer in a unit at any one time, provided that the hunter does not kill any of the deer while harvesting the other two. If a hunter kills two deer, he or she may only harvest one additional deer for each deer killed by the first hunter. The hunter who harvested the second deer must harvest the third deer as well, and so on, until all three have been harvested.
All three hunters must be present at the time of harvest to be eligible to receive a harvest permit. Harvest permits are not transferable to another hunter, but may be transferred to a new hunter if the original hunter is deceased or otherwise unable to attend the harvest. Hunting license fees are nonrefundable and non-transferable.

Most bow hunting seasons last from mid-May to late-September. Bowhunting season is open to all hunters, regardless of age, gender, or experience level. Bowhunters must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid hunting license to hunt. A valid license is required to purchase a bow and arrow from a licensed bowhunter.
