The Bright Angel Lodge is located just west of the Bright Angel Trailhead. The Maswik Lodge and the backcountry office are good places to park your car. The National Park Service has a shuttle bus that drops off at the trailhead.

How do I get to Bright Angel trailhead?
Just west of Bright Angel Lodge lies the Bright Angel trailhead. Walk 5 minutes to the park at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center from the parking lot of the Backcountry Information Center. Parking There are two parking lots available for visitors.
The first lot is on the east side of the park and is accessible from the visitor center. There is also a small parking area located in the backcountry that can be used by hikers and campers.
Is Bright Angel Trail free?
The Bright Angel Trail is a 15.3 mile heavily traveled out and back trail located near the Grand Canyon and is rated as difficult. The best time to use the trail is from October until May. How far down is the second tunnel on Bright Angel Trail?

The spring is located on the east side of a hill, about a quarter mile east of where the trail begins. You will need to cross a bridge to get to the spring, and then you will have to climb a steep hill to reach it.
