Is it a sin to eat meat in Christianity?
Christian has freedom to eat meat without it being a question of conscience. The source of the meat is not an issue in the New Testament, because they are blessed when they do it. Even if the animal has been slaughtered in a way that is cruel to the animal, we are allowed to eat meat from that animal.
We are not commanded to kill animals for food, but we are told that we should not eat animals that have been killed in ways that are inhumane.‖ The Bible does not that you have to be a vegetarian or a vegan. We should, of course, pray for the salvation of others. But we must remember that our prayers are not directed at God alone. Father is the source of all things. He alone is able to save us from our sins and bring us into the kingdom of heaven. Christ is our Savior and Redeemer.
His death on the cross at Calvary, His resurrection from the dead at Easter, his ascension into heaven at the Last Supper, are all evidences of His divinity. All of these events are signs of God’s love for us and His power to accomplish His purposes in our lives. God who saves us, not we who save God.
