What Is The Best Campground In The Smoky Mountains?

The NPS is not responsible for any damage to your vehicle or property caused by the use of this beach. Vehicles are not allowed to park on the sand or in any of the designated parking areas. All vehicles must be parked in a designated beach parking area and must remain in that area for the duration of your visit.

Please be aware that the parking lot may be closed at any time due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Camping is allowed at the Cape Fear State Park Visitor Center, located in the campground. There is a fee for camping. Campsites are available on a first-come-first-serve basis and are subject to availability.

Are there bears in Cades Cove?

Bears can be found throughout the park, but are easiest to spot in open areas such as Cataloochee Valley. You can go in the morning or late afternoon. Black bears are less likely to attack you if you are in a group than if you are alone.
