They also reported that eating a slice of pizza a day was associated with a 30% reduction in risk, compared to eating it once a month or less.
“We were surprised to find that the association between pizza consumption and diabetes risk was so strong,” said co-author and UIC nutrition professor David Ludwig, PhD.
