Do Oviraptors eat meat or berries?
It would appear that the Oviraptor fossil in 1924 was the parent of the eggs in the nest and not an egg stealer. Oviraptor was an omnivore who used its powerful beak and jaws to eat meat, eggs, seeds, fruits, insects and other small animals.
The eggs would have had to be incubated for at least a year before they hatched. It is possible that some of these eggs could have survived the winter and hatched in spring.

This new line of evidence shows that the nest that was associated with the Oviraptor was actually brooding the eggs at the time of its death.
“This is the first time that we have been able to show that this species was actively incubating its eggs,” said study co-author David Evans, curator of vertebrate palaeontology at The Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Illinois.
Are Oviraptors worth it?
Oviraptors can be a little bit of a PITA to tame (Compared to other dinos their size because ofc they can only eat eggs) their boost, however is stupendous and you can just weigh them down with rocks to make them easier to handle. They can also be very dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing.
If you get too close to them, they will try to bite you, and if they do, it’s not a good idea to try and fight them. They are very aggressive and will attack anything that gets in their way, so be sure to keep an eye on your surroundings and make sure that you are not in the path of their attack.
Can Oviraptors pick up eggs?
Oviraptors are useful because they will collect wild eggs and will allow you to pick them up without aggro-ing any nearby dinos. If you want to use them, follow your flyer and drop them near the egg, then pick up your oviraptor after a few seconds.
You can also pick up eggs from the ground, but this is not recommended as the eggs are very small and you will not be able to see them very well.
If you want to use this method, make sure you have a good view of the area you are flying to, as it is very easy to get hit by an egg if you fly too close to a dino.
