TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The University of Central Florida (UCF) has been named the No. 1 public university in the nation by U.S. News & World Report (USN&WR) for the 2019-2021 school year. The rankings are based on a survey of more than 2,000 college and university presidents, deans, provosts, and other top administrators.
UCF is the first public school in Florida to earn the top ranking since Florida State University (FSU) earned the honor in 2010-11. “We are humbled by the recognition we have received,” said UF President John Thrasher. “Our students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors and community members have made us a national leader in higher education.
