Open your menu by pressing Start and select your Rod from the Key Items, or press Select if you’ve registered your rod as a shortcut. Your character is going to start fishing. Don’t wait for a bite. You will be able to see the fish you caught when the text box appears at the bottom of the screen.
If you want to catch more than one fish at a time, you can do so by clicking on the same fish multiple times in quick succession. You can also click on a fish and drag it to a different spot on your screen.
The fish will move to the new spot, but you won’t get any more fish until you click again on that fish. If you don’t have enough fish in your inventory to fill up all of your slots, just click the empty slot and it will be filled up.
