Do swivels scare fish?

Do you use swivels with lures?
Rapala does not recommend using a swivel when fishing with their lures. If you want to tie directly to your lure, it’s the best option. The best action to the bait will be provided by this. Some fishermen attach their lure to their lure reel with a snap-on lanyard.
The best way to fish with a hook and line is by using your line to reel in the fish. If you don’t have a reel, you can use your hook to pull the line out of the water and reel it back in. You can also use the hook as a lure, but it’s not as effective as using it as an anchor.

How do you tie a leader to a swivel?
If you want to tie a swivel to your fishing line, use an improved knot. Double the line back after threading it through the swivel. Feed the end through the loop created by your twists after you twist the line 5 or 7 times. Tie it off by pulling the short end and long end together.
If you don’t want to use a clinch, you can also tie off the ends of your line and then tie them back together. This will make it easier to tie the knot in the future.
Should you use a swivel with a spinner?
Attaching a spinner directly to a swivel is not something we recommend. The action of the lure can be interfered with if the fishermen use a swivel that is too large. We recommend you tie a very small top quality ball bearing snap to the end of your swivel if you want to use it. This will allow you to attach it to your reel without having to worry about it falling off.
How fast do you reel a spinnerbait?
If you have to high a retrieve speed, the lure will skip out of the water, if it is too low, it will not be able to catch the fish. If you are going to use a spinnerbait, you will need to make sure that the bait is not too heavy, and that it does not have a lot of drag on it.
I have found that using a 1/4″ diameter piece of aluminum foil works well for this purpose. You can find it at your local hardware store, or you can order it online from Amazon.com. It is a good idea to wrap the foil around the entire bait before placing it in the boat. This will help to keep the weight down and prevent it from dragging on the bottom.
The foil should be about 1″ in diameter and about 3/8″ thick. Be sure to cut it to the proper size, so that you don’t have any gaps between the two pieces of foil.
Do you use a swivel with soft plastics?
