How To Put A Canopy Tent Together? (Described for Everyone)

Silicone lubricant can be sprayed on the inside of the lid to improve the opening and closing of your QUIK SHADE®. This will help to keep your lid in place and prevent it from sliding off. If you have a lot of water on your hands, you may need to wait a bit longer. You may also want to let it dry completely before using it again.

How do you open a shade canopy?

Grasp the top and bottom of the truss on opposite sides. Slightly lift canopy up and push hands together while stepping backwards until canopy is fully opened. To avoid damage to the canopy, be careful not to pinch fingers or push too hard. Remove canopy from trunk and place it on top of trunk. Place the trunk on the ground and secure it with a piece of wood or plastic.

If you are using plastic, make sure it is not too thick or it will be difficult to remove. The canopy should be about 1/2 inch thick. You can also use a small piece or two of cardboard to help you lift it up. Make sure you do not over-tighten or you will have to re-drill holes in trunk to get it back in place.

How do you open Quickshade?

To spread the frame open as far as possible, pull out the legs at the same time. To allow room to open up, you may need to step backwards. Repeat with the other leg.

How do you stabilize a pop-up canopy?

If you are looking for an easy solution to secure your pop-up canopy in high winds, canopy or tent weights can be used. The pop-up canopy can be assembled on a variety of surfaces, including grass, gravel, pavement, stone patio or wooden deck.

How do you anchor a portable canopy?

If you want to pound stakes into the ground, use a hammer or mallet. You can easily tie the anchor ropes if you leave 3 to 4 in of the pins above the ground. Hardware stores and specialty outdoor stores can sell metal stakes.

Extra security can be achieved by placing a stake on each side of the tent. If you are using a hammock, make sure the hammocks are securely fastened to the stakes. If they are not, you will need to tie them to a tree or other sturdy object to prevent them from falling.

How do you keep a canopy from blowing away?

Attaching weights to the legs of your canopy is one way to do this. Sand or pebbles can be filled with to provide additional weight to help your canopy stay upright. Tent stakes can also be used to secure your tent to a tree or other structure.

If you have a large tree, you may want to consider using stakes to attach the canopy to it. The stakes should be long enough to reach the ground, but not so long that they are in the way of the tree’s branches. You can use a rope to tie the stakes in place, or you can tie them directly to your tree.
