When hiking at a moderate pace, the Highline Trail takes about 6 to 7 hours. The trail is very well maintained, and there are a number of campsites along the way. The trailhead is located on the west side of the park, at the end of a dirt road. From the parking area, take a right onto the trail and follow it for about 1.5 miles.
After about a half mile, you will come to a junction. Take the left fork and continue straight for another 1/2 mile. At the junction, turn left and head up the hill for a short distance. You will see a sign that says “Highline” on your right. Turn right and hike up to the top.
