Why do dogs not eat humans?
Dogs have no need to see humans as pack-mates, even as superior alpha-pack-mates, because they have evolved to see humans as companions. They live in groups of up to a dozen or more dogs, each of which is a member of a different social group.
The dogs in a group are all related to each other by blood, but they are not related in any other way. A dog is not a pack member.
