All that’s required of these schools is that they give diplomas to students who have successfully completed the program. In other words, if you want to get a degree online, you have to go to a school that actually gives you a diploma, and that diploma has to be recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. If you don’t have that, then you’re out of luck.

Can Liberty online students walk at graduation?
For a student to qualify for participation in the graduation ceremonies, they must be considered a full-time senior by February 1 of the graduating year. A student who wants to participate in LUOA’s May 2023 graduation exercises must be considered a full-time junior by January 1, 2018, for example.
