Do not lift heavy objects for 48 hours. It’s normal to have intermittent bleeding or oozing. It is possible to control it by biting down on the surgical area with fresh gauze. Bleeding should not be allowed to continue for more than a few days. If bleeding persists, seek immediate medical attention. If the bleeding is severe, the patient should be placed on a ventilator and placed in a medically induced coma.
